Connect Skateboarding Brings Create a Skate Workshop to Soccer Post Brooklyn for the adidas x Thrasher x AFA Launch

Connect Skateboarding recently had the opportunity to bring a Create a Skate Workshop to Soccer Post Brooklyn as part of the exclusive pre-release event celebrating the new adidas x Thrasher x AFA collection.

The latest collaboration between adidas skateboarding, Thrasher, and the Argentine Football Association is arguably one of the strongest collections they've released to date. To celebrate the launch, Soccer Post hosted a special community event where attendees had the chance to shop the collection one day before its official release. The event brought together skateboarding, soccer, art, and community, creating an incredible atmosphere throughout the day.

To help connect those worlds, Connect Skateboarding transformed Soccer Post's indoor pitch into a hands on Create a Skate Workshop. Participants designed and personalized their own skateboard decks, and then turned them into complete skateboards.

Beyond creating their boards, every participant also received a skateboard helmet and a fresh pair of adidas skate shoes, giving them everything they need to confidently begin their skateboarding journey.

Attendees also had the opportunity to meet members of the adidas Skateboarding team, including Frankie Spears, Ari Misurelli, and Diego Nájera, who signed posters and spent time connecting with everyone throughout the event.

After the workshop wrapped up, the excitement continued outside with a live skate session on the custom adidas x Thrasher x AFA ramps built in front of the store.
