Connect Skateboarding: What We're up to for Winter 2026 Skateboarding Programs

As the colder weather arrives, the excitement for skateboarding doesn't have to go into hibernation. At Connect Skateboarding, we're dedicated to keeping skateboarding going all year long. We are thrilled to announce two special indoor winter skateboarding programs so we can continue to keep our community active.

Connect Skateboarding Winter 2026 Skateboarding Programs

1. J.V. Forrestal Winter 2026 Skateboarding Enrichment Program

Connect Skateboarding Winter Indoor Skateboarding Program at J.V. Forrestal Elementary School

We are incredibly proud to introduce a brand-new offering at J.V. Forrestal Elementary School. This program holds a special place in our hearts, as our founder, Andrew Singh, is a J.V. Forrestal Falcon alumnus. This connection makes our return to the school to share the joy of skateboarding even more meaningful.

This pilot program is specially designed for children in Kindergarten and 1st Grade. We will explore creative movement, develop essential motor coordination, and build important social-emotional skills like persistence, and confidence. This curriculum will show how skateboarding reflects creativity, community, and self-expression.

  • Who: J.V. Forrestal Students in grades Kindergarten - 1st grade

  • Dates: January 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th and February 6th, from 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM

2. Little Friends Learning Loft 5-Week Skate Clinic

Connect Skateboarding Winter Indoor Skateboarding Program at Little Friends Learning Loft

Following up on a highly successful skateboard clinic with our friends at Little Friends Learning Loft, we are stoked to continue our partnership with a 5-week indoor clinic. We are grateful for the opportunity to help make skateboarding a year-round activity for the Newburgh community.

This program offers a unique combination of physical exercise, mental focus, creative expression, and personal resilience. Over five weeks, kids will learn the fundamentals of skateboarding, build their confidence on the board, and have a blast in a supportive and fun environment. Lessons will take place indoors at the Newburgh JCC gym, providing a perfect space to skate through the winter months.

  • Who: Children enrolled with Little Friends Learning Loft

  • Dates: February 27th, March 13th, 20th, 27th, and April 10th, from 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM

We are beyond excited to bring these programs to life this winter. Each one is a step toward our goal of making skateboarding accessible and enjoyable for everyone in our community, no matter the season!
